These are casual virtual meetups to talk about translation, mainly between Japanese and English. We share experiences, questions, readings, strategies, tools, travails, and trivia, with different conversations every time. New participants are most welcome! The one-hour sessions, moderated by Daniel Morales, start at 8:00 p.m. JST on the first Tuesday of the month. For brief reports of previous meetings, see here. 

August 4: In August, we are again looking for translation examples from participants, but this time we invite you to share mistakes that AI has made. We’ll go over what the mistakes were and how human (expert) translators would have been able to avoid them.
