SWET Writers’ Salon September 2026
Date: Saturday, September 26, 2026
Time: 2:00–5:00 p.m.
Host: Alex Smith
Capacity 12: (on a first-come, first-served basis)
The location has changed for the September Writers’ Salon!
The Writers’ Salon will be gathering again on the last Saturday of the month, September 26th, at the usual time of 2:00 p.m. and lasting until 5:00 p.m. or so. This time around, we’ll be meeting at the home of Alex Smith in Inamuragasaki, just five stops on the Enoden from Kamakura Station. Alex will be hosting, as the usual host is overseas this month.
Let’s take this opportunity in a new venue to talk about new projects, future projects, and dream projects that may never happen but that keep the creative fires burning nonetheless.
As always, this is a get-together of working writers, published authors, poets, bloggers, journalists, editors, book reviewers, and all those for whom writing is central to their lives, to check in on how the writing is going, talk about what’s happening in the publishing world, and share talk of the travails of a writer’s routine. It is also an opportunity to catch up with old friends, connect with new people, share your recent accomplishments, and talk about what you’re working on at present. This is not a writing critique group but a simple gathering of writers taking a break from work. Small-item potluck and BYOB. Please let Alex know if you want to bring a guest.
Do remember that there's only room for 12, so please let us know soon if you’d like to come.
