Alice Gordenker’s Tours in English: To the Tanzawa mountains!

Journalist Alice Gordenker, whose always informative column So, What the Heck Is That? appears in the Japan Times monthly, is offering another attractive tour in English.

The first was to Manazuru, which is less than two hours from Tokyo. Next up, on Oct. 31, was a pleasant and informative trip to Oyama, with visit to a beautiful noh theater built over a pond and the inside look at the restoration of the Hinata Yakushi (716). Oyama was Edo’s equivalent of Disneyland, with 200,000 Edo-ites visiting every summer!

Next up is a tour in the Tanzawa mountains. Details are here
