Available Now! 18th Edition of the Chicago Manual of Style!

CMOS 18 has officially been released online for those with digital subscrptions. Notable changes include the much-anticipated acceptance of the third-person-singular pronoun “they” and capitalization of the word “indigenous” when used as an adjective referring to people. Other changes may be more surprising, like now requiring that prepositions of five letters or more be capitalized in titles and allowing a year expressed as a numeral to begin a sentence. A list of major changes is publicly available at the link below (no subscription required).
