Susan Napier, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Professor of Japanese Literature and Culture at the University of Texas, Austin, will talk about the role of anime in transmitting Japanese culture, sharing insights on cross-cultural exchange and understanding from her research and writing and her recently updated book, Anime: From Akira to Howl’s Moving Castle.
