September 10 - Osaka Sake Brewery Tour and Talk
SWET Kansai is organizing an outing to the Daimon Shuzo sake brewery in Osaka (towards Nara on the Gakken Toshi line) on Sunday, September 10th, 11:30 - 3:00. The British sake brew master Philip Harper, author of “The Book of Sake: A Connoisseur’s Guide,” just released by Kodansha International, will give a guided tour of the brewery he works at, lead a sake tasting, and discuss the writing of his book.
Included is a lunch at the brewery restaurant for a reasonable 3,990 yen. No matter what your interest, whether it is learning about sake production, sake tasting, writing, translating, or publishing, we would like to see you there.
