- Suzanne Kamata, known for her short stories (she is editor of The Broken Bridge anthology, Stone Bridge Press) and children’s stories, has just published her first novel, Losing Kei (copies available at the talk).
- Barry Lancet is a long-time editor at Kodansha International.
- Alfred Birnbaum, translator of authors such as Murakami Haruki and Ikezawa Natsumi, recently collaborated with his wife Thi Thi Aye in translating the Burmese novel, Smile As They Bow by Nu Nu Yi Inwa (forthcoming, Hyperion East, NY)
