Guidelines for the Mini Book Fair

Bring All The Books You Can Carry
Book contributors will receive credit good on the day of the Mini Book Fair for what they bring to the venue at the following rates:

  • 200 yen per mass paperback
  • 300 yen per trade paperback
  • 400 yen per hardcover (exceptions for children’s and other small hardcover books)
  • 100 yen per CD or cassette
  • 200 yen per video
  • 400 yen per DVD

Take Home As Much As You Can Carry
You can take away as much as you can carry. If you come without books, please pay cash at the above rates. You can take home books and other items of a total value equal to the value of what you brought in, without spending cash. But if you find more items you want than you have credit for, please pay the difference in cash at the rates above.

Visitors who don’t find enough items to use up their credit may ask to have their leftover books returned. Items not taken by the end of the Mini Book Fair may be taken home by their original owners or donated to SWET, which will either store them for a future book fair or sell them to a secondhand bookstore.

The proceeds of the Mini Book Fair and sale of leftovers will be donated to SWET.
