Holly Tompson, writer and author of the recently pub-lished novel Ash (Stone Bridge Press) explored aspects of the craft of writing fiction?characterization, dialogue, plot, setting, point of view?as they relate to the creation of bicultural works. She also elaborated on the particular challenges encountered in the writing of her novel as well as specific issues pertaining to the writing of Japanese/English bicultural works of fiction.

The evening included readings from Ash and book signing. Copies of Ash were also available for sale.
