Self-taught Japanese photography expert and fellow SWETer Phil Ono will show slides of photographs by prominent Japanese documentary photographers. There will be an emphasis on images depicting life in Japan during various periods in the past 100 years. Prewar and postwar photographers, such as Domon Ken and Kimura Ihei as well as more recent ones like Hiromix, will be featured.
