How can we better help our clients? What resources can we muster to strengthen their English-related endeavors? How can SWET information-sharing help us enhance our professional services?
Later this year, SWET will host a seminar for Japanese clients of writing, editing, and translation services. The aim of this is to encourage best practices within Japanese organizations as they relate to the use of language professionals, either contracted or in-house.
This meeting is intended to help the organizers gather information on those areas of interest that will be of most value to both wordsmiths and their clients.
What we are looking for are success stories in client education. If you have any notable success stories (or even any resounding failures!), we invite you to write them down along the lines below.
- What should be included (be sure to respect the privacy of your clients in the information you provide):
- Type of client (commercial company, NPO, university, etc.)
- Type of work (editing, rewriting, translation, copywriting, etc.)
- Problem that was encountered
- Your suggested solution
- Client’s reaction
- Ultimate outcome
- Any feedback from client
- Any general conclusions that may be drawn from the experience
Please either bring your stories with you or send them to us at SWET.
